Pentax * ist DS or the Nikon D100?

So I've been looking for a new D-SLR recently. I just need something easier cinema. When I first saw the Nikon D40 because I was in my price range in general, and I will buy again, but then I started looking on Craigslist and find the best deals on many cameras. I looked around a month and found a Pentax * ist DS and a Nikon D100. I researched and found that both the D100 is like 4 years older than the * ist DS, it does not matter much for me, because my Nikon N2000 that I use is currently about 14 years. So I think the positive comments, basically in two, but it seems that the D100 is better because in the comments that they were there to conpairing And the D200 is a good camera. So anyway Please give me your opinion and I strongly believe that to take to help you decide. Thanks

The D100 is about 5 years. Digital Camera is like in the Bronze Age. Besides that, a D100 does not come with a warranty. For someone who just is starting, I almost always recommend a new camera with a warranty rather than buying a used camera and heritage of their problems. More of this, you have idea of how the camera has been treated, or when key systems as a component, to break without warning. More so, the D100 tends to underexpose, particularly flash photos. I can not find the color to be as good as the new D40 SLR to shoot in JPEG. This is one reason why the cameras are cheaper, because they are used and are not warranted. So if you can afford a new camera, you should go. My vote is for neither the * ist DS or the D100, but for a new camera with a warranty and support as the D40. EDIT: For God's sake, do not try to buy Broadway Photo as Edwin suggested. This is a scam the store! They have one of the lowest ratings ever for a shop in shop as ratings http://www.resellerratings.com sites: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Broadway_Photo
